PLAN OF ACTION:
1) To begin your paper, consult any class notes, your book, and other resources to make a list of concrete
details (Venn Diagram) that support your ideas.
2) Organize your ideas around a good thesis statement.
3) Find concrete evidence from the literature to support your thesis and your supporting ideas, and plan to
use this evidence in your paper in the form of quotes. For this paper, cite your quotes using page
numbers only, unless you use a source other than the ones I provided.
4) Write a draft of your essay, leave it for a day, and then revise your essay checking that your ideas are
clear, supported, and well organized and that your spelling and punctuation are correct.
5) Read your paper aloud to yourself, and also have someone else read your paper before you make a final
draft.
