Examiners’ pet hates. Some common errors and how to avoid them
On successful completion of the unit you should be able to:

demonstrate an understanding of the structure of a thesis

demonstrate an understanding of the variety of writing tasks involved in researching and
writing a thesis

demonstrate an awareness of common errors in academic writing at structural, paragraph
and sentence levels, and be able to avoid these errors in your own writing
