Introduction
Age UK Norfolk’s mission is ‘to support older people in Norfolk to enjoy the
opportunities and meet the challenges of later life’.
A range of services are provided directly and where possible Age UK Norfolk
works to promote, develop and co-ordinate other services by actively supporting
local groups and voluntary effort. Age UK Norfolk celebrates age - we work with
older people across Norfolk to improve quality of life, promote independence and
to help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.
Although independent and autonomous, Age UK Norfolk is part of a national network
of Age UK groups.
Role Description for: Collections Volunteer – Various locations Sheringham,
Cromer, Kings Lynn and Dereham
Role Purpose: As a local charity we want to see older people live well in Norfolk
but can only do this by raising funds to support the services we provide.
Main Duties
To help raise funds to support the services we provide to older people helping
them to live well in Norfolk.
Specific Responsibilities
To increase our income and raise our profile by holding bucket collections, in
supermarkets on street collections and at other venues across the county.
To adhere to the policies and practices of Age UK Norfolk
Cover one collection day slot of 2 hours or more
Acknowledge and thank everyone that donates
To return collection material to the assigned return point.

training or meetings at Head Office (Old Catton).
