Allusion - a reference to something/someone,
often in literature or history.
Example: “Use the force” to help a friend
finish something challenging. This would
be alluding to Star Wars.
*Rhyme Scheme 1) Looking at the last word of the first line of the poem.
Assign it the letter "a".
2) Look at the last word of the second line. If it rhymes
with the last word in the first line it is also assigned an
"a".
3) If it does NOT rhyme, assign it a "b".
4) Continue looking at the last word of each line and
assigning letters to each.
5) When you are finished, all the lines with "a" should
rhyme, all the lines with "b" should rhyme and so on.
*Rhyme Scheme Example:
Roses are red, A
Violets are blue, B
Sugar is sweet, C
And so are you. B
