Common Lies




Shameful lies: I shouldn't have so many
needs. Something is wrong with me. Having
needs is a weakness. It's my fault if I have needs
Overbearing lies leading to constant
disappointments: All my needs have to be
fulfilled by one person and that person is you.
Or maybe it's you, or you? No one cares.
Independence lies: I don't have any needs. Or I
can take care of myself, I don't need anyone.
Savior mentally: I'm responsible for everyone
1. What needs do you find it hard to admit
you have or were taught that it's wrong to
have? Which lie has a hold on you? Who
taught you that?
2. Which needs do you feel the deepest
void in? Who or what do you tend to try to
fill it with? Who or what do you blame for
it not been filled?

Our identity and destiny comes from
what God defined.

We are the only creation God breathed His own
breath directly into and we were fashioned into
His image. (all other creation made after it’s

Mankind is God’s beloved bride.

As a young man marries a maiden, so will
your sons marry you; as a bridegroom
rejoices over his bride, so will your God
rejoice over you.

church, without stain or wrinkle or any other
blemish, but holy and blameless. Eph 5:27
What is man that You take thought of him, and
the son of man that You care for him? Yet You
have made him a little lower than God, and You
crown him with glory and majesty! You make him
to rule over the works of Your hands; You have
put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the
heavens and the fish of the sea, whatever passes
through the paths of the seas. Psalms 8:4-8

the earth He has given to the sons of men.

Rule over, have dominion over (Rada): to rule,

Power = ability to do or act; capability of
doing or accomplishing something, great or

Eat of the fruit of Tree of Life.


Eating: mechanically breaking food into piece,
break it into building blocks, absorbed into the
body and gives energy to the body or becomes
building blocks into needed structures.
We break down God’s words, ruminate over it,
and it become life energy and foundations of
life.


And God said, “ I give you every seed-bearing
plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree
that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for
food.” Gen 1:29.
And the Lord God planted a garden toward the
east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom
He had formed. And out of the ground the Lord
God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to
the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in
the midst of the garden, and the tree of the
knowledge of good and evil. Gen 2:8-9

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the
LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say,
‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” The woman said
to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but
God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the
middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will
die.’” “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the
woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will
be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food
and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she
took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was
with her, and he ate it. Gen 3:1-6

Now faith is the substance (assurance, confidence) of things
hoped for, the evidence (proof, conviction) of things not
seen…Through faith we understand that the worlds were
framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were
not made of things which do appear (things not yet visible).

What did Subject X not do or not know
about? ---- Address the battle between human
flesh and human spirit/will
We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual,
sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For
what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.
16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the
law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it,
but it is sin living in me. 18 For I know that good itself
does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I
have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it
out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I
do not want to do—this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do
what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but
it is sin living in me that does it.
So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good,
evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I
delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in
me, waging war against the law of my mind (spirit) and
making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within
me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me
from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to
God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

For though we live in the world, we do not wage

they have divine power to demolish

Prayer of Alignment with God

Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit. I praise you for
defeating the enemies lies, accusations and
doubts. I exalt you for coming to earth to gain
freedom for human will and reestablishing
relationship with you. Thank you that you are
the source of life and fulfiller of all human
needs. I confess that I tried to fill my needs by
myself, with things or people instead of looking
to you first. I confess that I had replaced You
with the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good
and Evil. I let my life and identity be defined by
the evidence I gather through my eyes, ears and
body. I let myself be defined by my emotions,
knowledge and human reasons. I'd imprison or
deactivated my will by agreeing with the devil's lies
about who You are, who I am and who others are.
Forgive me for judging You, others and myself. As
an act of my will, I now renounce my alliance with
the unholy trinity of doubt, deception and Fruit
of knowledge of Good and Evil. We say to the
associated demonic spirits that the LORD rebuke
you, the LORD rebuke you, the LORD rebuke
you. We say to the demonic stronghold the LORD
demolishes you, be broken and loosen your hold. I
forgive myself for trying to be God for myself and
for others. The LORD rebuke the heaviness and
weight of self-idolatry that I carried. I forgive myself
for self-condemnation that resulted from the fruit of
Knowledge. I ask you to forgive me for
the condemnation of other and you. I now release
the weight of it. I bind myself to your truth. I align
my spirit, my mind, my emotions and my body with
You. Help me to know You and hear You.

Lordship Prayer
Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and wanted my
own way. I acknowledge that You created me and that I
can do nothing without You. I thank You for dying on
the cross for me and I confess You as my Saviour. I
choose to forgive Adam and Eve for overturning your
created order and giving the authority you gave them to
the serpent. I forgive my ancestors for continuing that
rebellion. Forgive me for partaking of the Fruit of
Knowledge of Good and Evil. Forgive me of using that
knowledge to judge others, myself and even You.
Forgive my pride and my reliance on knowledge,
what I observe through my sense, what I understand in
my thought and emotions and for letting it override
your truth. Forgive me for undermining your Lordship.
I want to repent and turn from that and come into
agreement with you in every area of my life: I want you
to be the Lord of my spirit and my relationship with
You. Lord of my spiritual awareness and worship. Lord
of my mind, my attitudes, my beliefs, my imagination,
my understanding, my memories, my dreams, all my
thoughts and my desires. Lord of my emotions, my
expression of my feelings and all my reactions. Lord of
my will and all my decisions. Lord of habits, my coping
mechanisms and my behavior cycles. Lord of my body,
my physical health, my exercise, my diet, my rest, my
physical health,
my exercise, my diet, my rest, my health care, my
appearance and all my behavior. Lord of my eyes and
what I look upon and for how long and when. Lord of
my ears and everything I listen to and for how long and
when Lord of my mouth and what I speak (fewer
questions, fewer comments, more appreciative words;
“quick to listen, slow to speak” James 1:19; “take
control of what I say, O Lord, and guard my lips”
Psalm 141: 3). Lord of my hands and all that I do.
Lord of my feet and everywhere I go. Lord of my
sexuality and its expression. Lord of my time, my
work, my ministry, my prayers, my pleasure, my home,
my family, my possessions, my perceived needs, my
safety, my finances, my plans, my ambitions, my future
and all my relationships. Thank you Jesus, that your
blood was shed that I might be set free. That you rose
again and sent Holy Spirit that I might learn to
walk in joy and peace and victory over sin and
Satan. Please grant me daily intimate fellowship
with You. I desire to know and clearly hear Your
voice and walk in the path You have for me. In
Jesus Name I pray, Amen
New Creation


We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don't you
know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were
baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him
through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was
raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may
live a new life.
Romans 6:24
If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the
new has come! All this is from God...
2Cor 5:17
New Heart


I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I
will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a
heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you and move
you to follow my decrees and be
careful to keep my laws. Ezekiel 36:26-7
I will give them an undivided heart and will put a new
spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of
stone and give them a heart of flesh
Ezekiel 11:19-20
New Heart


The holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he
says: This is the covenant I will make with them after
that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their
hearts, and I will write them on their minds. Heb
10:15-6.
God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy
Spirit, whom He has
given us. Romans 5;5
New Mind



Do not conform any longer to the pattern of
this world, but be transformed by the renewing
of your mind. Then you will be able to test and
approve what God's will is -- his good, pleasing
and perfect will Romans 12:2
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly
things. Colossians 3:2
Prepare your minds for action. 1Peter 1:13


Those who live according to the sinful nature have their
minds set on what that nature desires; but those who
live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set
on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is
death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and
peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not
submit to God's law, nor can it do so. Romans 8:5-7.
Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that
you can pray.
1Peter 4:7.

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of
evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you
have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt
of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of
righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the
readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to
all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of
salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers
and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on
praying for all the Lord’s people.
Eph 6:13-18
