God’s Sovereignty
God is the Supreme Ruler: He rules over all
No man, angel, or circumstance can thwart God’s plan
Nothing can prevent His plan from being successful

the Most High and does according to His will in

the man cursing him.(who was later proven wrong) He
didn’t want to go against what the Lord might be doing.
Isaiah 45:6-7 He forms light and creates darkness
He creates well-being and calamity
Remember: God’s character never changes. He is all His
attributes, all the time.
John 19:10-11; Matthew 18:7 Pilate had no authority over
Jesus except what God the Father gave him.
Judas has the greater sin. (rejecting Messiah)

Genesis 37; 39-45; 50:15-21
Sold into slavery by his brothers who hated him
Became 2nd in charge in Egypt
Demonstrated wisdom
God sent him before his brothers to preserve life.
God’s divine plan was carried out through their evil.
Joseph KNEW God was in control.
What they meant for evil, God meant for good.
God’s Sovereignty and Trials
Romans 8:28-29 God causes all things to work for good to
those who love Him.
I Cor. 10:13 God will not allow believers to be tempted
beyond what they are able to bear.
James 1:2-4 Trials are a test of a believer’s faith
I Thess. 5:18 Trials are designed to produce endurance and
endurance has results – it perfects and completes the
believer.
Eph. 1:11 God works all things according to His will
Even believers are predestined according to His purpose.
