ANNEXURE 7 PROJECT SPECIFIC ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT PLAN PROJECT SPECIFIC EMP DURING CONSTRUCTION PHASE During construction phase following precautions will be taken to prevent the possible hazards and nuisance to the surrounding locality. AIR ENVIRONMENT: • We have used two nos. of tanker water for dust suppression on plot during excavation period. • There was provision for washing of wheels of truck and vehicles to dislodge the adhered mud prior to exit the site. • Easy traffic movement will be maintained by deploying adequate security personnel. Entry and exit of heavy vehicles as well as neighbouring traffic will be monitored by security personnel • Vehicles with proper PUC certificate will be allowed to enter the site • Strictly ‘No Horne Policy’ will be followed in and around the site. No loading or unloading activity will be carried out at the night time. • High Speed diesel will be used. • All the trucks will be covered with tarpaulin to avoid dust pollution WATER ENVIRONMENT: • 10 nos. of mobile toilets will be provided for the labours on site. • No discharge of construction wastes to ground water bodies had been allowed during construction NOISE ENVIRONMENT: • The work timing will be strictly adhered. No construction activity will be allowed after 10.00 pm and before 6.00 am. • DG sets with acoustic enclosure and adequate stack height will be provided. • Electrically operated construction equipment’s will be used to reduce the noise pollution. • Strictly “No Horne Policy” will be followed in and around the site. No loading or unloading activity will be carried out at the night time 200 nos. of Ear plugs will be made available to Workers SOIL/LAND ENVIRONMENT: • Top soil will be stockpiled temporarily for replacement whenever required. • Disposal of the construction way debris: Construction debris, Waste concrete and broken bricks will be utilized in low-land levelling, secondary concrete, below roads. Some quantity of Excavated soil will be used for backfilling and remaining will be disposed on our other plot situated at Anshul ELA Gat no. 50/1, near toll plaza, Moshi, Pune. • Restrictions will be put on burning of solid waste on site. • Green belt will be developed around the periphery of the plot to minimize the impact of construction activity HEALTH & SAFETY: • Safety barricades and signage will be placed at strategic location. • Proper fencing will be put in place as a safety precaution and barrier. • PPE will be provided for all the labors and asked to follow the safety policy strictly. • First-aid and health check-up facility will be provided to the labors. • Awareness programs will be conducted regarding personnel safety, occupational safety, health, hygiene, environmental resource conservation, etc. PROJECT SPECIFIC EMP DURING OPERATION PHASE MANAGEMENT OF AIR ENVIRONMENT: • 1No. 250 kVA and 1No. 380 kVA. D.G. Sets will be installed with acoustic measures as per CPCB norms and Generator exhaust will be taken implemented to mitigate impacts from fugitive emissions. MANAGEMENT OF WATER ENVIRONMENT: • Adoption of dual plumbing system • Water reuse and recycle practices will be adopted (48 % recycling will be achieved) • Treated Sewage will be used for landscaping & flushing • Effective rain water harvesting system will be implemented • Proper storm water drainage network will be provided within project site MANAGEMENT OF NOISE ENVIRONMENT: • Periodic maintenance of machinery and vehicles should be undertaken to reduce the noise impact • The sources of intermittent noise generating equipment (pumps for lift or water pumping, DG sets etc) will be provided with appropriate acoustic barriers so that the noise level within 100 m of these facilities when in operation will be less than 70 dBA • Implementation of landscaping (194 nos of trees), horticulture etc., are expected to reduce noise impacts within the project premises. MANAGEMENT OF LAND/ SOIL ENVIRONMENT: There will not be any impact on the land environment during operation phase. Solid waste will be generated during operation phase. This solid waste collected in room after segregated and composted in Composting machine. Non-biodegradable waste handed Over to PCMC. MANAGEMENT OF TRAFFIC: • There will be enough space for movements of vehicles and parking, thus the traffic management on the project site will be easily and smoothly monitored without any hindrance to the regular flow of traffic on the main road • Six gates, for entry and exit, will be provided. • Flow of traffic is eased out by providing adequate entries and exits from basement and surface parking areas • Entry and exit managed by security personnel who will also regulate traffic ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN BUDGETARY ALLOCATION EMP DURING CONSTRUCTION PHASE Sr. No. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.
