William Shakespeare was born in Stratford upon Avon
in Warwickshire. He was known as an English play
writer and for his poems. He was known as ‘The Bard’’.
He was born in 1564 and died in 1616, so he lived more
than 400 years ago. He is one of the most famous
writers in the world.

Should we still study him?
Our personal opinion is that we think we shouldn’t
study William Shakespeare anymore because we don’t
know as much information as we need to know about
him and how he lived.
We don’t need to learn about him anymore because
children might think it’s boring sitting there for hours
listening and sitting there for hours working about
him. We think if we had more fun information about
how he lived and some information about his lifetime,
then we could learn about his lifetime.
