Grading
1. Participation – 10%
! Any student absent from more than two laboratory sessions is liable to receive a failing grade.
2. Performance in the class—15%




Lateness, not being mentally present will negatively impact your participation score;
Chatting and playing cell phone during the lecture time are not allowed;
Leaving earlier without finishing required work will be account for the absence;
Answering the questions and active performance during the experiment section will obtain extra
points.
3. Quiz—45%






Quizzes start from lab section 2, the questions will cover the topic in the previous section;
Totally, we will have 12 quizzes and I will drop three lowest scores;
Full score of each quiz is 10;
Quizzes will return to you and will be posted on the website before the final;
Part of the questions will also be the questions in the final;
Any students late for 15 minutes will miss the quiz and loss some points;
4. Final Exam—30%
