Working From Home with EPGY Stanford Math Program
Students are able to continue working as well as track their progress with the EPGY
Stanford Math Program from any computer with Internet access. They can log in from
home and/or library.
Before a student can work on the course from home, he/she will need to certify the
computer from our website: http://epgyschools.stanford.edu/certfiy/
Certification is a simple test to ensure that your computer has the requirements needed to
run the course. The following page describes the Certification process.
Once you have certified your computer, you can return to the Stanford Math Program
website for Memphis City Schools at
http://epgyschools.stanford.edu/district/mcsk12/
and select your school from the list to log in. You will be prompted for your username
and password.
Username: ___________________ (unique for each student)
Password is _________ (the student’s first and last initials).
Upon logging in, you will see your Student Welcome Page. From here, you have two
options

Run Course – allows you to continue using the EPGY Stanford Math course.

View Reports – allows you to view reports of your work and progress. You can
create the following reports:
1. Progress Summary – gives you a general summary of your progress in
each of the topics as well as a graph of your Grade Placement gain.
2. Session Calendar – gives you a calendar of when you have worked. If
you click on one of the dates, you will see your work for that day. You
can review the problems from a selected day by clicking on “Replay
Session”.
3. Concepts Summary – gives you a list of the concepts you have covered
so far as well as your score on these topics as well as sample exercises.
Certifying your Computers
Before you start running EPGY Stanford Math software, it is essential that the computers
intended for use successfully pass the certification test described below.
1. Open your internet browser and go to https://epgyschools.stanford.edu/district/mcsk12/
(this is your district page). Click on your school name to get your school login page.
2. Your home page will have a link in the red ribbon at the top called “Certify”.
3. The first page during this process will be displayed (see figure below).
4. If you see the light bulb flashing, and your Java version and cookies available are marked
“OK”, click on the box labeled “Yes”, followed by the Continue button. You will
proceed to the next screen.
5. To complete the certification test, you must go through the series of checks on each of the
5 screens (Display, Flash, Database, Bandwidth, and Finished). If your system
fails to meet one of these checks, you will be guided through appropriate
troubleshooting procedures.
6. Once you have reached the final screen, click, “Submit results”. This screen will show
you which checks your system has passed or failed.
7. If your computer system fails any of the checks, the word “Failed” will appear in red
letters to indicate which test your system failed.
