Halimbawa, ang kambal-katinig sa salitang
pluma (plu-ma) ay ang pl dahil ito ay nasa
unang pantig na plu. Ang salitang petsa ay
walang kambal-katinig dahil ang ts ay hindi
magkasama sa isang pantig. Kung pantigin
ang salitang petsa, ito ay pet-sa.
May mga salita na may magkasunod na katinig ngunit walang kambal-katinig ang mga
