SUPPORT YOUR VIEW
At first I thought our genes are so
similar, I could have the same as
someone else. After watching the video,
I found out that I might have 99% of the
same genes as someone else but not the
exact same sequence
Our genes make up who we are as
individuals, which means the way our
body type and intelligence is created by
each strand of DNA
Because genes in everything that is living
determines the way they are, then I still
believe the human genome is the code
for life
I never thought a mouse could have any
of the same genes as us, but after
watching the video, it is a fact that mice
have 85% of the same genes.
On the Human Genome Project website,
they have sequenced all the human DNA
they can for right now, but with further
technology, I believe the scientists will
determine more.
Part 2: Watch the Code for Life: The Human Genome video and gather information from what you
learned. You also may visit with Human Genome Project website to learn any further information or

Part 3: RE-EVALUATE  after you have watched the video and looked through the website, go back and
reevaluate the statements and then support your view with evidence from the website resources.
