Greetings Bead-Eyed Friends!
We're sending out a big thank you to all the folks who have come out for our "Ladies' Bead Night Out" on Thursday
nights. The introduction of our newest community gathering has been fantastic with both seasoned and beginner beaders
coming together from 6PM-8:30PM on Thursday nights to work on current projects, to seek inspiration from other
beaders, to share tips and techniques, or just to get away from their husbands, children and households for a couple hours!
We all need that little escape from time to time, not to mention it is a most satisfying way to nurture ourselves and explore
our creativity. If you'd like to join us on Thursday nights, just bring a bead project, a drink and/or a snack if you wish,
pull up a chair and bead your heart out. The silver lining is that Fandangle Bead Store now stays open until 8:30PM on
Thursday nights while our "Ladies Bead Night Out" group is meeting! Turns out, a lot of our working customers really
enjoy having a night where they don't have to beat the traffic to get to the shop before close; instead shoppers can come in
at their leisure on Thursday evenings to pick up needed supplies for new and on-going projects. You asked for it, we made
it happen!
We ran two online coupons back in September: Living Social and GroupOn coupons. If you haven't yet discovered
either of these two online coupon services, be sure to check them out. Both of these coupons offered our customers an
opportunity to save 50% (!) on merchandise or they could be used towards classes. These online coupon services also
offer great deals at local restaurants, gyms and health services so it's a great way to shop local while getting a great deal.
When you shop local, you help keep the flavor in our communities and your local businesses in business. Imagine a life
of WalMarts. Now imagine a life of little local craft shops, boutiques, farmers markets, and privately owned gas stations
where the guys will still work on your car like it was their own. Creating community begins with each of us!

and/or photos from recent gatherings and projects.
Don't forget the classroom tables are open during the day if you need space to design a project or just need to get a
little help with the "crimping part" of basic stringing projects. To discover a whole new range of beading projects, check
out our new classes this quarter including a variety of off-loom weaving classes. I know a lot of you have a fear of seed
beads--well, don't anymore. I used to feel that way too until I took an introductory class wherein we wove a little peyote
bracelet. Cute as a button! Speaking of new classes and new techniques, we also have two new instructors we're
introducing this quarter: Joan Bender and Amy Turner. Some of you may know Joan from Lettuce Knit (she has quite a
following!). Joan is a bead convert and is now working part-time with us at Fandangle. Joan will be teaching the beaded
leather ("Sundance") bracelet classes as well as some of the "FUNdamentals of Basic Beading" classes eventually. Amy
is one of our multi-talented beady-eyed customers who will be teaching two fabulous beaded wire project classes--be sure
to check out the photos of her class samples on-line or while in the shop. We hope to see you in a class soon!
Last but not least, don't forget to mark your calendars for our 7th Annual Holiday Open House on Saturday,
December 3rd from 10AM-5PM. We'll have a simple little holiday project set up at the classroom tables for those who
want to knock out a quick little gift--our little holiday gift to you!

Classes - Registration & Refund Policy
Our classes are quite small in size, so be sure to reserve your seat early. To register for classes you may
call Fandangle Bead Store (327.9992) and use a credit card to retain your seat in a class, or you may come
by the store to register in person. Full payment is required at the time of registration. Please read our
refund/cancellation policy carefully before registering: Fandangle has a 10-day advance cancellation
which is in keeping with all other local art institutions who teach art classes. We retain our instructors and
reserve seats in our classes based on students' commitment to attend, often turning away other customers
who would have liked to participate in our classes, hence our cancellation policy.
Please be punctual so we can start having fun on time! You will need the full allotted time to complete
your project. If there is insufficient enrollment three days prior to a scheduled class, Fandangle Bead Store
reserves the right to cancel the class. Classes are open to students l4 years or older. Please, please, please:
no cell phones in class!!! If you absolutely must have your cell phone on, as a courtesy to the instructor
and fellow students, turn phone to "vibrate".
*FUN-damentals of Basic Beading: A Class for Beginners
Every-other Saturday, 10AM-12 NOON

$35 includes everything—you just show up and have fun!
Yes, you CAN bead--and yes, it's going to be fun! Basic beading class is our 2-hour introductory beading
class designed for students who have never beaded. It is the perfect class for people who think they're "not
creative" (at Fandangle Bead Store we believe everyone is creative and we'll prove it to you!). In this
beginner level class you will learn a simple wire-wrapping technique (a must for making your own focal
pendants, earrings and charm bracelets), the ABC's of bead stringing and all the information you need to
explore your inner bead diva! Students will complete a simple necklace and earring ensemble during this
2-hour class. This is a technique class only (ie., not a design class). The $35 fee includes everything you
need for the class. Basic bead classes are our most popular class and tend to fill up 7-10 days ahead of
time, so call to register early if you have a special date in mind. We can also reserve this class as an event
for your special group, ages l4 years and older—call the shop to reserve your special date in advance.
*Precious Metal Clay (PMC) Classes*

Create your own fine silver (.999 pure silver) jewelry without using torches, metal saws or filing. If you
can hold a rubber stamp, you can make pure silver pendants, earrings, and components using precious
metal clay.
Silver PMC Class
In our PMC class students will have the opportunity to explore projects and forms that are possible with
this miracle clay. Students will work with PMC+ in this class, but all variations of PMC will be discussed
during class. Likewise, we will explore various finishing options including tumbling, sanding and the use
of patinas on PMC. $165 includes one package of PMC+ clay.

Yes, we offer FIRING SERVICES for PMC!
To purchase PMC, we recommend you check out Rio Grande Jewelry Supply's website. While we
no longer sell PMC given the spike in silver prices, we do offer firing/tumbling service: $15 to fire &
tumble silver PMC (per package rate, regardless of number of pieces). Please allow at least one week for
these services--no last minute jobs, please.
