Introduction: An's honey-glazed tea-smoked goose is located at the outer circuit of Xiaying District.
The owner is a goose farmer with many years of experience, and has bred many fine white geese
using the waters of Wushantou. The famous honey-glazed tea-smoked goose finally emerged as a
prized delicacy after years of dedicated experimentation. The owner has employed strict quality
controls so that every customer could taste the freshest geese. Only a limited quantity are sold every
day to customers that come from every corner of the country. Many TV stations have also provided
coverage of this food stand.

In response to business transformation, the goose rearing section complied with
government agricultural policies and joined Mother Tian to create Mother Tian's Garden
Restaurant – Xiaying Goose Cuisine. The once simple goose vendor has now become a
restaurant serving fine goose cuisine. The rustic surroundings and farmlands provide
diners with a natural and unique environment to enjoy nature's bounties. What are you

Honey-glazed tea-smoked goose was a dish that was jointly discovered in 1990 by Mr. Yan and the
founder, Mr. Lin Guo-jhen. Many attempts were made to perfect the smoking techniques and spice
recipe. Their efforts paid off when they created the first successful honey-glazed tea-smoked goose.
Honey-glazed tea goose from Xiaying was then promoted by the county government as a unique
produce of the village. The delicacy proved to be a hit throughout Taiwan, and became one of the
most popular souvenirs of Xiaying. The honey-glazed tea-smoked goose retains the texture of
freshly prepared goose seasoned with local Taiwanese honey and natural herbs. The goose is then
smoked using a traditional method using tea leaves and cane sugar to give it its enticing and
tantalizing aroma.

Summary:This store was founded in 1998. The owner, Mr. Yan Bao-lin was originally a goose
farmer. Poor economy and fluctuating prices of the goose market have both threatened his
trade. Mr. Yan thus began to research novel goose dishes. His determination paid off
when he came up with a most tantalizing honey-glazed tea-smoked goose. His proprietary
seasoning and fantastic dishes attracted a significant following from snack lovers across
the country. Mr. Yan used his name and added a single character to give his restaurant the
famous name of Baozhilin (a renowned traditional Chinese medicine hall). Mr. Yan's
Baozhilin, however, does not sell medicine, but it does offer deliciously roasted
honey-glazed tea-smoked goose seasoned with an herbal blend.
