Conducted by CENTRAL AGENCY FOR PUPLIC
MOBILIZATION AND STATISTICS General
Census of Population Census in 2006, the
sixteenth in a series of censuses of Egypt
and was the first census of Egypt in 1882.
First: Methodology
==================
Method General Census of Population
===================================
1- Use of the physical count and is intended
to limit the whereabouts of individuals in
the census night (20 / 21 / 11 / 2006).
2 - Use of geographic information system
(GIS) which helps to cover field work for
all governorate as ( urbane and rural)
3 - using a (SCANER), which helps save time
and reduce errors and save electronic
images of forms collected by the families.
4 - Update method of training using the
latest census workers training methods.
5 – A- Increasing community awareness of
the importance of the census and to make
correct data through the media campaign
that included television channels,
newspapers, magazines, advertising on the
highways and internal

B- Participate in radio and television
programs by officials of the device.
C- Issuance of a commemorative silver coin
of census
d- Issuance of commemorative stamps for the
Census
Second: The field work for the Census.

1- Three experiments were conducted for the
tribal population to reach the optimal form
of forms and identify issues of field and
resolution.
2 - Method of implementation: the census
was conducted in the traditional manner in
the BIOS spatial field implementation of
all stages of the census the following:
A- Determine the chiefdoms and the
numbering and enumeration of the ways in
urban and review of methods and components
of the satellites in the slums and rural
areas using the maps.
B - Numbered and limited to blocks in
villages and in new urban communities.
C - Numbering and inventory of buildings
and components of the units and families
and numbering facilities in urban areas and
rural areas.
