Mira Morgenstern Biography
Mira Morgenstern is Associate Professor of Political Science at the City College of
New York. Her specialties in Political Theory include Enlightenment Political Thought and
the Discourse of Modernity, as well as Biblical Political Discourse. Her books include
Rousseau and the Politics of Ambiguity, and Conceiving a Nation: the Development of
Political Discourse in the Hebrew Bible. Current projects include a monograph on
Rousseau’s biblical interpretation and a projected volume on the influence of the
Enlightenment on current political ideas and policies.
