Working together
As students work together to solve typical lab problems, they build job skills such as communication
and cooperation that are highly valued in the job market.
Cats in Science
Undergraduate research is an integral part of the Ag Biotech program.
Learning Biotechnological Methods
Our laboratory techniques course trains students in technical skills and understanding to critically
examine bioogical systems at the molecular level.
Gamma Sigma Delta New Inductee
Kylie Colvin, ABT junior, was inducted into Gamma Sigma Delta, The Honor Society of Agriculture.
Student Winner-Session 1
Catherine Crawford won the Glenn B. Collins Student Achievement Award for Session 1 of the fall
semester's presentations.
Student Winner-Session 2
Alonna Wright won the Glenn B. Collins Student Achievement Award for Session 2 of fall semester's
presentations.
University Scholars program
Ag Biotech student, Ellis Shelley, is the first student in the Ag Biotech-Masters of Medical Science
Program.
Graduate Studies
Graduate studies in veterinary science, plant science, animal science, biology, biomedical
research, cancer research are a few of the areas in which an Ag Biotech degree will prepare you.
Healthcare
An Ag biotech degree is a great start to pursuing a career in healthcare professions such
as: medical doctors, dentists, pharmacists, optometrists, physical therapists and physician's
assistants.
Careers in Life Sciences
Possibilities abound for graduates with a degree in Agricultural Biotechnology. Foundational
courses in biology, chemistry and genetics prepare you for a rewarding career in the life
sciences.
