Don’t forget the 19th of January your club, Zeekoe Vlei Yacht Club, is
hosting an open Day and a dinghy boat show from 9 am to 3 pm. The aim is to
have a showcase of the popular and exciting dinghies is South Africa.
So, if you have thought of sailing but never got around to finding out about it,
now is the time. This open day is for everyone, young and not so young! We will
be showcasing boats inside the club as well as offering test rides on the Vlei.
To promote the Club visitors will be able to relax in the Club grounds, enjoy a
cup of tea or coffee, lunch and cakes from Rochelle’s Kitchen, and refreshments
will be on sale from the Upper Deck Pub.
Apart from the class boats which will be available for the sailing trips we will
be rigging our 2 Saldanha dinghies and the 3 Picos. We will most definitely be
looking for competent members to helm these boats. Please contact Ron

An added bonus is that we will have Bruce Keen the 2012 Musto Skiff
World Champion sailing one of Peter Hall’s recently imported Musto
Skiffs on the water that day.
We also hope to have Alfred’s rowing members available to introduce visitors to
the joys and fitness benefits of rowing.
