Hamel, Minnesota – Maxxon Corporation is constantly striving to meet the evolving floor challenges facing the construction industry and is continuing this pursuit with the launch of three innovative new sound control mats.

Maxxon is excited to introduce the Acousti-Mat

®

HP Series of high performance sound control mats. Acousti-

Mat

®

II HP , Enkasonic

®

HP , and Acousti-Mat

®

3 HP provide upgraded sound control through the addition of a high performance acoustical fabric that is laminated to the bottom of the mat’s entangled mesh core.

Topped with a high-strength Maxxon Underlayment, Acousti-Mat II HP increases the acoustical performance of a wood floor/ceiling assembly by up to 16 IIC points and up to 20 points over concrete construction. Requiring only a 1” topping, Acousti-Mat II HP adds sound control without adding to the overall floor height.

Enkasonic HP requires only a 1½” topping yet adds significant impact sound control. Enkasonic HP increases the IIC levels of the floor/ceiling assembly by up to 18 points over wood frame construction and up to 25 points over concrete construction.

Acousti-Mat 3 HP increases the IIC levels of the floor/ceiling assembly by up to 22 points over wood frame construction and up to 30 in concrete construction (vs no mat). At a height of 0.75" and requiring only a 11⁄2" reinforced topping, Acousti-Mat 3 HP provides ultimate sound control without significantly increasing the overall floor height.

The Acousti-Mat HP Series of sound control solutions is always manufactured with 40% pre-consumer recycled content. They are consid ered “green” building materials and may help contribute points to LEED ®

project certification. Maxxon Corporation is the leading provider of floor underlayments and floor sound deadening systems. Maxxon products are used in new construction and renovation projects of commercial, retail and industrial facilities as well as single family and multifamily housing. They are available through authorized dealers located throughout North America.

Hamel, Minnesota – Maxxon Corporation is constantly striving to meet the evolving floor challenges facing the construction industry and is continuing this pursuit with the launch of an innovative new sound control mat.

Acousti-Mat

®

SD is specifically designed to meet the challenges associated with corrugated steel deck.

Traditionally when sound control was desired in corrugated steel deck construction an underlayment needed to be poured directly onto the steel deck to level the surface before a sound mat could be installed. Acousti-Mat

®

SD saves time and money with its unique pattern, designed to fit the flutes of 9/16” – 2 ½” o.c. 22 gauge corrugated steel decking. Now just one underlayment pour is required to achieve superior sound control; a strong, level underlayment; and fire safety.

Acousti-Mat

®

SD is manufactured with 40% preconsumer recycled Nylon 6, is considered a “green” building material, and may help contribute points toward LEED ® project certification. Maxxon Corporation is the leading provider of floor underlayments and floor sound deadening systems. Maxxon products are used in new construction and renovation projects of commercial, retail and industrial facilities as well as single family and multifamily housing. They are available through authorized dealers located throughout North America.

Maxxon

Corporation

Hamel, Minnesota – In today’s market, the failure of finished floor goods due to moisture vapor emissions has become a hot topic. Maxxon Corporation is constantly striving to meet the evolving floor challenges facing the construction industry and is continuing this pursuit with two surface applied moisture vapor barriers.

Maxxon® Corporation now offers Maxxon DPM (Damp Proof Membrane) and Maxxon MVP (Moisture Vapor

Protection), surface applied moisture vapor barriers that prevent the passage of water vapor and moisture through slabs on, below or above grade. Maxxon’s moisture mitigation solutions also meet the new ASTM F3010 requirement of 0.1 grains/hr/ft²/in•Hg perm rating as tested by ASTM E96.

Maxxon DPM and Maxxon MVP reduce moisture vapor emission of up to 25 lbs. to 3 lbs. or less. and provide a high alkalinity barrier (pH 13 – 14), preventing the delamination of adhesives, floor coverings and coatings.

Maxxon DPM also prevents capillary infiltration of oil or other chemicals from the ground and can be used to treat oil contaminated slabs.

Maxxon DPM and Maxxon MVP install quickly, and are ready to receive an approved Maxxon Underlayment the day after installation. Ideal for old buildings without a vapor barrier or new buildings, covering even five-day-old concrete:

Industrial/retail facilities

Hospitals and schools

Gym Floors

Office buildings
