Class of 2015 Application Due Date
Wednesday before Spring Break: March 25, 2015
Each year the Freeland Athletic Association offers several scholarships to Freeland High School
Seniors who have demonstrated exceptional performance in the areas of athletics, academics, and
community service.
Scholarship recipients will be selected by a Scholarship Committee which consists of:
(1) FAA Board Member, (1) FAA Concession Captain and (1) FAA representative and Freeland
High School's Athletic Director. Applicants will be evaluated according to the following
criteria:
40% Athletic Contribution
25% Family Involvement in Freeland Athletic Association Activities
25% Non Athletic Involvement and Letters of Recommendations
10% Essay
Scholarship applicants must be current Freeland High School seniors with a 2.5 GPA or higher
and be in good standing with the coaches and the school. Applicant must also participate in
Freeland Athletics. All information provided will be; viewed by only the selection committee
and held in strict CONFIDENCE. Please print or type your information on the application. If

This application will be evaluated solely on the contents of your application.

PART V: RECOMMENDATION LETTERS
Please submit TWO letters of recommendation. One must be by a coach and the second
from a non-family member. The TWO cannot be from the same teacher you are asking for
an evaluation from.
PART VI: TEACHER EVALUATION
Please ask two Freeland teachers from your Junior or Senior year to complete an attached
CONFIDENTIAL evaluation form. These will be turned into the FAA; not returned to the
applicant. Make sure you have each teachers sign the checklist below when you ask them
to fill out the evaluation form. This will be proof that you completed your part of the task.
