1. Welcome opened at 4.02 pm

6.2 Treasurer’s Report – Financial reports for the
month of March 2015 were tabled. The following
points were highlighted:
The balance of the High Yield Account on
31/03/2015 was $20,745,83
The balance of the Official Account on
31/03/2015 was $4,354.84 with $428.20 in
unpresented cheques
There was a transfer of $7,650.56 from HYIA
to Official Account on 23/03/2015
Motion: That the Monthly accounts March 2015 as
presented be accepted as a True and Fair reflection of
the financial affairs of the School and that they be
ratified by Council.

Cara has taken photos for promotion
Parents welcome to write up ratings for
Yellingbo PS on internet search engines
Can hand out cards for trivia night/can get
them cheap
6.5 Fundraising Report –
Jo thanks ladies for helping.
$159 for Easter Raffle
Partylite packs need to be returned by 27th
April.
o If we make over 4500 we get gifts for
our trivia night.
Jo has emailed companies for donations for
our trivia night.
Our trivia night will be advertised at a CFA
trivia on 23rd May
o Friday 19th June confirmed for ours
Bunnings barbeque continues to be advertised
in the newsletter
Discussion on eskies that will be needed.
o Will leave them for the time being.
Crystal and Sally will look for Tupperware
Sandy wants to use pies that are in the freezer
from the Field days
Sandy would like some new knives for the
kitchen. (Rick will see Sandy)
Need to print cookbook-any drawings of food
from the kids will be valuable
2014 graduation phots to be put on website

Appendix A Principal’s Report
Enrolments
22 and holding
I thought we were going to get another boy in Year 5
this term, but haven’t heard any more about this
Administration
School Strategic Plan (SSP) has been approved by DET
– (copies tabled)
o Now needs to be signed by SC President and
sent back to DET
Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) is currently being
developed
o This is the yearly plan that is developed from
the SSP
o Has more detail regarding how and when
things are done and who is responsible for
doing them
Another deadline that I had to meet late in term 1 was
paper work associated with the $4000 rebate we are
expecting for computer network and equipment
o This was to cover upgrades to computer stock
as well as other devices purchased this year
and last year
o We had approval, but needed to put together
all of the invoices before payment cam
o Haven’t got the cheque yet!
Linda will be taking LSL for the whole of Term 3
o I will be replacing her for one day per week –
with a lady who works at Gruyere PS, Sue. She
will do the finance stuff
o That will leave some cash to employ somebody
else on a casual basis to do reception work or
whatever we need done at some other times
About to begin the performance and development cycle
for this year with Carolyn – and also preparing my own
P&D plan for the year. (it seems my meeting last term
was okay – I still have job)
We need to record the profits from the lunches sold
when Don Valley students come to visit as GST Input
taxed.

Working bee next Wednesday
Really need a leaf blower
o There is a huge amount of leaf matter being
tracked into buildings
Quote for branch removal tabled ($450)
Vegie garden is coming along nicely
o Carrots/parsnips etc. have sprouted
o Need to remove some of the tomato plants to
make room for more stuff
School Activities
Our first combined session with Don Valley is tomorrow
o Focus will be CHANGE
Year 6 students will be going to the Upper Yarra RSL
Schools ANZAC Ceremony
I have imposed on Crystal to be our web site manager,
which she is happy to do. We will be making some
changes to the website to make it more user - friendly
o Crystal’s friend Cara came to the school
yesterday and took several photos which we
will use to update the web site
o Cara will Photoshop the images ( it will even
get rid of the cobwebs on the windows!) and
make them available for our use
o Will also be producing a new flier that Cara
has designed (draft tabled). It needs photos and
some different text
