EXAMINATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS January 2016 Locker Clean Out will be January 25th, 2016 during period 1. ALL EXAM ARE MINIUMUM 1.5 HOURS OR MAXIMUM 2 HOURS A. STUDENT EXAMINATION SCHEDULE It is your responsibility to note the DATE, the TIME, and the PLACE of your exams. B. STUDENT ABSENCE If you are absent for an exam you will be given a mark of '0", unless a valid reason for the absence, (i.e., medical documentation) is presented to the main office. Your medical certificate must clearly state that you were too ill to write an exam and the doctor must acknowledge that he/she is aware you are missing a final exam. C. LATES Examinations begin promptly. Late arrivals will not be given additional time. D. STUDY During examinations, the Library is designated as a "QUIET STUDY AREA". The cafeteria will accommodate students in small study groups, however no food will be available as the servery will be closed. E. OUT OF BOUNDS While exams are in progress, you must not be in the halls. Students are writing exams and need quiet in order to concentrate. F. EQUIPMENT You must provide the necessary equipment for your exam. Check with your subject teacher to determine what is needed. H. MORATORIUM No new tests, assignments or quizzes based on term work can be assigned on or after Monday, January 18. Students need to focus on completing their culminating assignments and studying for exams. However, students who have missed assignments and tests this semester are encouraged to complete them during this time to ensure success in their courses. I. EXAMINATION ROOM PROCEDURES 1. You will be admitted to the Exam Room five minutes before the exam is scheduled to begin. 2. You must write the exam in the room assigned by your teacher. 3. Subject related notes, coats, knapsacks, cell phones and other electronic devices, and bags are to be left in your locker.. 4. Textbooks and other class equipment must be returned to the teacher at the beginning of the exam unless other arrangements have been made. 5. Once the exam begins, please do not leave your seat for any reason. Notify the teacher by raising your hand if you require assistance, paper, etc. 6. If you need to clarify any exam questions, please raise your hand and make your concerns known to the supervising teacher. 7. Any attempt to communicate with another student will result in an exam mark of '0'. 8. You will remain in the exam room for the entire exam time. 9. Return all unused foolscap to the supervising teacher.
