Thursday 2nd July 2015 Stanley Grove Primary Academy YEAR 5 HAVE FUN AT COLOMENDY Today your child has been sent home with their 20142015 school report. This is a great way to learn about their attainment and progress across all aspects of school life during this academic year. Year 5 returned home today from a fantastic time on their residential trip in Colomendy, Wales. The children took part in a variety of fun and enriching activities, and stayed in yurts in the woods! They built rafts, did rock climbing, played laser combat in the woods, plus many more memorable activities! Thank you to all those staff who accompanied these children on such a lovely trip. Please see the class teacher asap to make an appointment. AHOY THERE CAPTAIN! Our lovely reception children have been learning all about pirates this week! They enjoyed learning all about ships and looking through all their buried treasure and searching for distant lands! ZAMBIA FUNDRAISING SAM AND MARK CAME TO VISIT! Our 100% attendees, plus some Year 3 and Year 4 children were lucky enough to enjoy a visit from Cbeebies stars Sam and Mark on Wednesday! They heard extracts from their new book, and even had chance to meet the boys and get it signed! We very much enjoyed welcoming them to Stanley Grove! WELL DONE... to our staff team who climbed Snowdon last Saturday to raise money for our partner school in Zambia.
