MAHIDOL SCIENTIST WINS AWARD
A MAHIDOL University scientist got an award for research on natural compound that
makes male sperm inactive and can be used for birth control.
Prof. Vichai Ruetrakul, chairman of Mahidol University’s Chemistry Department, recently
got the award from the Thailand Toray Science Foundation. It was given to him by Privy
Councilor Gen Prem Tinsulanonda.
The research shows that even though it makes the sperm inactive, the compound does not
effect the hormones.
This research would give men to choice of temporary birth control and make them more
involved in family planning process.

Hi, My name is Ratchanok Intanon. My birthday is 2rd May 1995. My
birthplace is Yasotorn, Thailand. My height is 167 cms. I am studying at Assumption
