These festival goers stay for several days and increase Gisborne’s population by almost 50%. Initially, in the first few years there were issues that caused some disruption for local residents and this created some ill feeling. R and V organisers and the Gisborne City Council worked hard to fix these issues. Today the majority of locals now support this event.
