Greek Gods Beware!
Horse Cave, KY – Ancient Greece comes alive for audiences weekly in Horse Cave, Kentucky.
In Kentucky Repertory Theatre’s new presentation of No. 11 Productions, “MythUnderstood”,
the three Fates of Greek myths are twisting and tangling the threads of life for man, monsters and
even the Greek Gods themselves. It is up to the hero, Odysseus, to triumph over these intricate
problems and make the world safe again, in the world premier of this zany musical.
“MythUnderstood” is a high-energy, family-friendly outdoor production featuring an
ensemble cast of both professional actors and puppet characters. This live music theatrical
extravaganza entertains all ages.
“MythUnderstood” is being presented in collaboration with the American Cave Museum
and is presented in front of the cave every Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and
Sundays at 2 p.m. from July 28 to August 7, 2011. Admission is Free.

Kentucky Repertory Theatre at Horse Cave (formerly known as Horse Cave Theatre),
Kentucky's nationally known, professional repertory theatre, is located in historic downtown
Horse Cave, Kentucky; 2 miles east of Exit 58 off I-65, midway between Louisville and
Nashville, Tenn. Kentucky Repertory Theatre at Horse Cave features year-round theatre and arts
programming allowing visitors to see theater in a fully air-conditioned and heated, wheelchairaccessible theatre. Kentucky Repertory Theatre at Horse Cave is a not-for-profit professional
theatre. All programs, activities, and services are provided equally without regard to race, color,
religion, national origin, age, gender, or disability. The Theatre operates under a Letter of
Agreement with Actors’ Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers
in the United States. Kentucky Repertory Theatre at Horse Cave is a member of the Kentucky
Tourism Council and the Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for
non-profit professional theatres. Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, supports
Kentucky Repertory Theatre with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National
Endowment for the Arts. Kentucky Repertory Theatre at Horse Cave is also supported with
appropriations from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Tourism Development Cabinet, from the
National Endowment for the Arts, and through the annual contributions of its individual and
business supporters.
