Part 01.
Chemicals could be defined as existence that may not have life but it gives life to “things” that can
feel and move. Chemical is the basic unit of life and earth and the whole universe. The two
chemicals that created from Big Bangs are Hydrogen and Helium and from these two all element
that evolves now are closely related.
I could give an example of a chemical and that is Hydrogen which been evolving around our
universe since birth. When we talk about earth, ourselves, universe Hydrogen is everywhere. Some
of you may ever heard of Carbohydrates which is class of chemicals comprises a lot of individual
chemicals that surround us and makes us. Hydrogen is the basic unit that makes carbohydrates. In
terms of toxicity hydrogen may not harm a lot us. Hydrogen that is made of one electron and proton.
Hydrogen makes water. Without water life is impossible. When we move from one place to another
first we are concerned of water availability. Same case happens when we look for another planet to
live outside of our home earth. Two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen—water is made up. Without
hydrogen atom life is water could never be existed so life. This is hydrogen helps us to make alive.
Part 02.
Many ways we could expose to chemicals. To live our life we need to take chemical that is
intentional exposing and that is essential for our life. But there are a lot chemicals that we really do
not want to expose but in our everyday life we expose having intention of avoiding.
We have to breath each second to keep us alive and this is the most frequent way to we expose
chemical. Inhalation is the most dangerous too because it directly affects our whole body.
In our everyday life, we have to touch a lot of things. By touching things we expose different kinds of
chemicals.
Food is another way we expose chemicals. In most parts of the world food is contaminated with
chemicals and we digest food.
Through skin, chemical can expose to our body. Our skin have a lot pore through which chemicals
can get into our body.
When we expose chemical first chemical needs to get into our body. After successfully getting into
human body chemicals absorbs with body’s fluids, then it goes to systemic circulation and disturbs
our body’s normal physiologic functions and we may feel sick due to it.
Liver constantly try to detoxifying all kinds of chemicals but when amounts goes up than normal
ability of liver then disturbances starts to show up. Outsider chemicals changes it form going through
liver and it may be more dangerous.
The last step to eliminate from body that happens through skin, sweating, urination etc. Many
chemicals remain in our body for long time.
Part 03.
Ofcourse they relate to health in many ways. We as a society have to identify which chemicals are
bad for our health. Almost all chemicals have negative side effects when it goes above normal level.
It’s our society’s responsibility to determine a normal level for each chemical that minimizes our
health risk. As our civilization goes forward at incredible speed with industry, uses of chemicals
increases at same rate but few preventive measures are seen so far.
Policy maker should make laws and implement those laws to prevent excessive exposures to
chemicals.
