PROFESIONAL EXPERIENCES AND PUBLICATION

I have more than 10 years working experience at a supervisory and managerial
level and more than 15 years working with national and international NGOs
In various Seminars, Workshops, Discussions and Forums, I have been invited as
Speaker, Resource Person, Facilitator, and Moderator by Universities (UGM, UI
and UII) and national NGOs on welfare policies, Social and Economic rights and
the politics of budgeting in Indonesia. In several occasions, I also advised the
national and local government on the poverty program and policies, social
protection, and health services.
I wrote and submitted several articles in the print mass media and some of them
were published, among others; Proyek Kebangsaan Kita (Kompas, 27 August
2005), IMF Aid : Helping The Poor? (Inside Indonesia, September-October 2005)
Pertumbuhan Ekonomi atau Pembangunan Manusia (Kompas, 19 September
2006) Reformasi Tanpa Pikiran Besar (Kompas, Selasa, 3 July 2007), Few Good
People and Local Government (Jakarta Post, June 19, 2007), Kesehatan untuk

I wrote a number of Papers, among others; Is There Mandela dan Keynes in the
2004 Indonesian Election 2004 ( Paper for Asien House, Essen, Germany, 2004),
Inovasi Pemerintah, Politik Partai dan Partisipasi warga: Relevansi Penganggaran
Partisipatif Porto Alegre bagi kota-kota di Indonesia (Paper on the Result of a
Research, 2006). Part of this was incorporated in a published Book Orde
Partisipasi, Sebuah Ide Bernama Basic Income (Paper on the Result of a Research,
2009)(Soon to be publish), From Affirmative State to Minimal State: Reflections on
the role of state in Indonesia under Decentralization Era (Paper for a Conference in
Egypt sponsored by The Ford Foundation, 2005), Dari Pendekatan Teknokratis ke
