This is growing business environment with a number of existing programmes with followon work and new capture opportunities. All programmes and projects in this area are mission critical to the end User and range in size, complexity and duration. All activity is undertaken working very closely with the customer in a genuine integrated project environment. The specific programme involves the full systems engineering cycle of design through test and acceptance including COTS integration and software development.

Specific Job Description:

An Integration & Test (I&T) Engineer is required to join the Image Exploitation

Programme, which was established in mid-2015. The I&T engineer will have experience of complex ICT Systems integration. The candidate will primarily be responsible to the

I&T Lead to support all I&T activities on the Programme, including:

• Planning and control of own work

• Support to I&T Lead for I&T activities as required

• Development of hardware integration tests, functional integration tests and system integration tests in preparation for formal test

• Planning, execution and analysis of testing including analysis of problem trouble reports and resolution verification testing

• Development of I&T plans and procedures

• Tracking and reporting I&T metrics

• Support to formal test as required

• Management of Verification and Validation data

Required Skills :

• Enthusiastic self-starter with good verbal communication

• Excellent written communication through the use of e-mail, presentation and formal reports

• Ability to work with due attention to schedule and cost constraints

• Ability to work at any point in the integration & test part of the engineering lifecycle

Desired Skills:

• Experience in GEOINT systems

• Good understanding of various system development methodologies

• Good understanding of the principles of software engineering, and integration and test

• Familiarity with the Telelogic DOORS requirements toolset would be advantageous

• The candidate should be familiar with generation of reports and undertaking analysis using typical office environment tools such as Word, Powerpoint,

Access, and Excel

• Awareness of LEAN and / or LM21 would be an advantage in developing processes used within I&T

• Knowledge of ITIL and its application

Standard Job Description:

Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing

requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

Typical Minimum Education & Experience :

Ideally require a Bachelors degree from an accredited college and capability typically achieved through proven professional experience. Will also consider individuals with equivalent experience / combined education.
