Our mission is to provide community education and leadership development training to high school
students through experiential learning activities that connect youth to their community and inspire them to
be problem solvers, decision makers, and future leaders in our community.
Dear Hall County High School Junior,
Thank you for your interest in applying to Youth Leadership Tomorrow Class #18. The success of the
program is due to the talent and diversity of high school juniors in Hall County (Central Catholic, Centura,
Doniphan-Trumbull, GISH, Heartland Lutheran, Northwest and Wood River).
Youth Leadership Tomorrow is an interactive, leadership development program. This program offers high
school juniors the opportunity to develop, strengthen and obtain leadership skills through seminars,
tours, dialogue and interaction with community leaders.
Youth Leadership Tomorrow is directed at developing the leadership skills of those high school juniors
who are beginning to show leadership potential, and an interest in their community, yet have not had
many opportunities to lead. The program is aimed at elevating community awareness for our young
leaders to discover the power of good leadership and how to make a difference in their community.
Youth Leadership Tomorrow meets one full day each month and attendance is required. Additional
activities such as orientation, graduation, class project and community activities will be scheduled.

Application
To be eligible applicants must:



Be enrolled as a student in a Hall County School.
Be in their junior year of high school.
Possess a desire to develop and utilize leadership skills.
Graduation Requirements:




Attend at all sessions. The program runs from December through July with graduation in
July Absences will need to be approved by the Executive Director.
Sessions will be held during the day and shouldn’t interfere with sports and event schedules.
School administration, teachers and coaches are aware of this program and absence from
school during these sessions will be allowed.
Participation in a class community project.

The Youth Leadership Tomorrow Committee will review the applications and all applicants

Cost:



A $250.00 tuition is due by Monday, December 1st, for those accepted into the program.
Youth are encouraged to find businesses to sponsor their full or partial participation in the
program.
Limited scholarships for up to 50% of the tuition may be available to offset the cost of the

time and resources to complete the program. Even though emergencies do arise, if I miss more
than one session I understand that I may be asked to withdraw from the program. In signing this
