This week, the whole school are taking part in ‘Maths Week’.
Many of our activities each day will be linked to time. In Year
One, we are learning to:

Tell the time using o’clock and half past

Know, order and spell the days of the week

Know about the different seasons of the year
For this week’s homework, please could you talk to your child about the seasons and what they are like (specific features e.g. temperature, what happens to animal and plants, the weather etc).
Please could your child choose a season, draw a picture of it
(e.g. a snowy scene for winter) and write a few sentences to tell you what they know about it (e.g. In winter it is cold.
Sometimes it snows). If your child finds writing a little tricky, feel free to ask them to ‘have a go’, then write down what they tell you they have written.
