The pelvis is made
up of
2 innominate bones
which meet:
anteriorly at the
pubic symphysis

When we talk
about the hip
we are
referring to the
articulation
between the
acetabulum of
the pelvis and
the head of
the femur.
The hip joint is
a ball and
socket joint.
The femur is
the longest
and strongest
bone in the
body.
The shape of
the proximal
portion of the
femur changes
dramatically
from infancy to
adulthood.

therefore are 2 joint muscles.
