Step 1:
First cover the areas you wish to remain white
Step 2: Sponge on Orange areas. The bleed outside the lines will
be covered by black dye later.
Step 3: Allow to dry or dry with a hairdryer.
Step 4: Add
Step 4: Add blue dye.
Step 5: Cover areas you wish to
keep blue with wax. Sponge on
yellow
Step 6: Cover yellow with wax
and Sponge on black dye.
Step 7. Cover all the dyed
areas with wax.
Step 8: Immerse in
background colour
Step 9: crack the wax
Step 10: final dye for crackle
effect
Leaving Cert Requirements
• Must be immersed in the dye at least two
times.
• Must demonstrate tjanting and crackling
techniques.
• White is very important as this dissapears
on you so keep a good bit of white
