My name is Doron, I am nine years old., I am nine years old. I am from Isreal. I came to Wales with
my father, my six-year-old brother and my three-year-old sister.
I started school at Ton Yer Rhein Primary School in Cardiff, Wales, in September 2025. I had a few
English lessons when I was in Tel Aviv, Israel; we probably only learned the alphabet.
I felt nervous and shy at first, but I found support from my year five teacher, Mrs. Hills, and from my
EAL Support Assistant, Mrs. Ali.
The children were very friendly and gave me a warm welcome.
Everyone made me feel like a friend, and if I had a problem, they were always ready to help and
smile. Little by little, I started to gain confidence and speak some English.
I love the beautiful park in Wales, full of birds, ducks and wildlife.. My hobbies are playing basketball,
swimming, and running..
My fondest memories are from my school days at Ton Yr Ywen Primary School, where I used to play
and run outdoors with my friends.
