year 2025 -2026, learners participating
in TLE, Science, MAPEH and ESP
activities and gardening, teachers and
school staff and the island local
community.

OUR PROJECT
UTAN MISSION
This project aims to promote optimum child
nutrition by providing nutritious meals while
strengthening food production system,
nutrition education and community
engagement in the school.
The project aims to improve the nutritional
status of identified undernourished learners
through monthly feeding program and
providing the learners with nutritious, freshly
prepared meals during the school day.

WHAT WE DO?
• This project aims to promote optimum
child nutrition by providing nutritious
meals while strengthening food production
system, nutrition education and
community engagement in the school.
• Through this initiative, students and
community members will learn the
importance of preparing healthy meals for
students’ proper nutrition as it does not
only affect their growth but also several
factors like mental alertness and academic
performance.
WHY CHOOSE
PROJECT UTAN?
Project UTAN is anchored in the School-Based
Feeding Program (SBFP) and Gulayan sa Paaralan
Program (GPP). This initiative promotes nutrition
through school-homegrown produce and daily meals
and is facilitated by TLE Coordinators and GPP adviser
together with the TLE Club Officers.
