Readings
• Do them continuously
• It is important to read the essential reading material since
there are often more examples or even frameworks/important
information that is mentioned there but not in the SG
• Read the SG along with the essential reading material
simultaneously, and if you happen to have additional time,
then do the further reading
Note taking
• Take notes, but don’t get too hung up on them
• Note the references
• Create a list of all important frameworks along with their references
• Take notes from the SG and then complete your notes with
additional information from the essential reading material
• Note all definitions
• Note possible topic sentences that you could use in the exam
• Note examples
• Try to take notes in a way that allows you to connect topics
Revision strategies
• Look at the list of frameworks and references you created
• Try to come up with your own examples
• Try to memorize important definitions
• Review past examination papers
• Examine model answers
• For formatives: are there connections between the chapters?
• Review your professor’s feedback on the essays you have
sent him
• Do’s and Don’ts of revision sessions
