SIMPLE SENTENCES
CLAUSE:
A clause is a group of words that contains one subject and one verb. Sentence that
consists of one clause is called a simple sentence.
A subject is a word, which performs the action, and the verb is a word, which is used to
show what action is performed.
Some examples of a simple sentence are given below:

Compound Sentence:
A compound sentence contains two clauses joined by a conjunction such as and, or, but or
so. There are two verbs one on each side of a conjunction. Some examples of a compound
