Introduction:
With warm regards and Namaste (word for greeting in the Nepali language) from Nepal. I am
Aarati Neupane daughter of Mr Kishor Raj Neupane and Mrs Ganga Neupane. I was born on
January 20, 1997. My permanent residence is Bhaktapur which is in the eastern part of Kathmandu
valley. I dynamically believe that achievement can only be negotiated through hard work.
Academic Background and Working Experience:
Talking about my academic background, I completed my School Leaving Certificate (SLC or
grade 10) from Dadhikot English S.S. in June 2012 securing 76.00%. Enrolled into Sun Shine
H.S.S for further studies, I passed my high school studies securing 57.60% in 2012. After that, I
enrolled on Innovative Sunshine College, Bhaktapur for pursuing a bachelor’s of Humanities and
Social Sciences. I completed my bachelor’s degree in 2017 with 59.71%. I started working in an
NGO named One Youth from November 2017 to July 2021 as a program coordinator. After that,
I started working in Aasha Tech Pvt Ltd as a customer coordinator, in August 2021 till now. I also
had done my Master of Arts in Rural Development.
During my working period, I realized the importance of management to grow in my career. For
this purpose, I investigated about many course options and among them, I found MBA with a
placement year is an excellent option to enhance my skills for leadership roles.
Why the United Kingdom for my further Education?
Every International student dreams about pursuing a career in a developed and sovereign country
in the world. To pursue my career, I have chosen the UK for my further studies. The UK has a
long history of greeting International students from different parts of the country to enroll in its
Universities and colleges. The UK education system is abundant. Universities of the UK have an
impressive international reputation and rank among the best in the world. With its world-class
universities and advanced programs and teaching, the UK education system is a magnet for
International students. UK universities are home to more than a million foreign students.
Moreover, MBA courses in the UK generally take less time to complete which can enhance to
keep the cost of tuition fees and living expenses down. Although 2-year programs are increasing
in popularity, most master’s degree is typically between one and two years. Through MBA, I can
learn how to manage an organization and uses assessment methods which mirror organizationbased activities and how to act strategically. By saying various factors of UK and universities of
UK such as affordable fee structure, course, content, climate etc. I have a chance to meet and
interact with other international students from all over the world, learning about different walks of
life, place and culture.
The United Kingdom has been known across the globe for its top universities and world-class
education. The role played by the UK and its universities in global education is undisputed for
academic excellence and a wide range of course options for the student. In addition to this, the UK
has been considered the ideal study hub for many international students. The UK is known for
reputed educational institutions in world-class research. UK higher education degrees and
qualifications are recognized by employers and academics worldwide. Students get the opportunity
to develop the skills, knowledge, critical thinking, and connections to drive forward their careers.
Utmost numbers of international students have a dream to study in one of the most developed and
leading countries in the world for a better education, which later leads to a rewarding career. I am
motivated and would like to pursue my further education in the UK for higher education as; the
British qualifications have an impressive international reputation, and students in the United
Kingdom are always encouraged to develop their potential. The English language is of crucial
importance in today’s global business arena so studying in the UK will help me to develop
excellent language skills. The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) is the key
body charged with maintaining these standards. From cosmopolitan cities like London, Cardiff,
Belfast and Glasgow to historic counties like Warwickshire and Yorkshire, the UK is a place of
contrasts in cultures. With a racial, ethnic and religious jumble, the UK is very open to new
traditions and cultures - a great thing for students from other countries. Undergraduate and
postgraduate courses in the UK tend to be shorter than in other countries, which can help to
economize the cost of tuition fees and living expenses. The UK also provides students with a
placement year where students are greatly exposed to the practical aspects as well.
Furthermore, the UK government has announced the PSW (Post-study Work) program which will
be very helpful for me because I will get a chance to learn new techniques, and skills and to get
experience in a related field. I am really attracted by its health benefits and eco-friendly nature. I,
being a nature lover living in Nepal really want to experience the peaceful fresh rhythm of air and
I think there is not any nation much more eco-friendly than the UK where I can experience the
fresh aroma of nature and its beauty. Besides this UK is one of the safest destinations for
international students to study and to live in as well, where students from different parts of the
come for pursuing their education.
Hence, I am interested to go to the UK for pursuing my postgraduate studies.

The MBA degree will help my personal and professional skills in organization management. York

and value-added service metrics. This is a significant improvement as compared to the 2023
rankings by the respective platform. York St John University ranked 120th in the United Kingdom
and 2302nd in the World 2022 overall rankings. It has leapt 16 positions as per the statistics of the
Guardian University Guide 2021. This has led the University to reach the 91st position inside the
top 100 for the first time. This has shown three years of robust performance in the National Student
Survey and Graduate Outcome Survey. It has been able to secure its 83rd position in the Times
University Guide in 2021. Additionally, 84th position in 2022 as per Guardians University Guide.

Hence, I am very interested to pursue my further studies at York St. John University London
Campus.
Why MBA with Placement Year?
My undergraduate study is Bachelor in Humanities and Social Science. I have learnt about human
behaviors and interactions and various factors such as social, cultural, economic, and political
contexts affecting them. After that, I had done my master’s in Rural Development under the
Humanities and Social Sciences faculty. I studied in depth the rural way of life and the various
socio-economic problems that affect the rural economy. I learnt about aspects such as rural
development theories, policies and planning for rural development, issues with agriculture, issues
with rural industrialization, development of fisheries, horticulture, and other aspects of improving
the income of rural households. Working as the project coordinator, I was responsible for project
Education Infrastructure Development which involved building a computer lab, and library and
supporting rural children with educational resources in Far West Nepal. I have always aspired to
open my Non-Government Organization that is dedicated to uplifting the living and education
standard of the rural sector of Nepal. Running an organization the individual should possess the
knowledge of various functions of the business and their departmental functions. The operation
department, finance department, Marketing department, and Human resources operate together.
Together with management, one should also possess soft skills like critical thinking, time
management, team working, communication and leadership.
An MBA degree helps one to develop advanced and flexible management skills and help to better
career opportunities, specialize in diverse fields, and help in developing managerial skills.. The
MBA programs consist of leadership and people management skills, essential and involved in
different sectors. Management students get trained to manage times of crisis in different sectors,
how to manage time, how to work towards building a company’s image and many more things
about management. It will provide me with the knowledge to handle both the external and internal
functions of an organization. This degree opens up job opportunities and senior positions related
to organizational management and administration.
The reason I choose MBA with Placement at York St John University is due to the course design
which primarily focuses on the strategies and systems involved in growing and managing the
organization from different perspectives. The MBA allows to development of an integrated
awareness of understanding management in the context of different sectors. Masters of Business
Administration at York St John University constitutes the compulsory modules of Dynamic
Perspectives on Sustainable Business, Leading Innovation and Cultural Changes, Business
Development and Value Creation, Global Business Strategy, Accounting and Finance for Decision
Making, Marketing and Data Analytics & final one is Business Consultancy Project. York St John
University can give students inspiration for final-year projects and dissertations. It can also help
develop soft skills, such as being able to work in a team and the ability to solve complex problems,
which are all valuable assets for both academic and professional careers. These modules will help
students to support the development of international marketing skills, provide supportive platforms
and involve participation in active and supportive forms of practical expertise. Furthermore, the
MBA degree of YSJ is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute which is an opportunity
to become a part of the professional body in addition to the academic award. Students will be
taught using a variety of teaching learning and assessment strategy that includes lectures, seminars,
tutorials and workshops. Additionally, the placement year provides us to work in the industry and
gain the practical application of the concepts and knowledge learnt in the classrooms. This will
provide the working experience enhancing future employability. These programs help me to use
assessment methods which help me to work on organization-based activities. During the course of
the year, I will also develop a professional relationships with my fellow colleague. I never know
whom I will meet, so networking could be useful for my future career and for my job prospects.
Research shows that those who completed a placement year received a higher overall degree grade
because I will have a more enhanced knowledge and skill set.
Therefore, I am highly motivated to pursue MBA with a year placement at York St John University
for my further study.
Future Plans:
After completing of MBA with a placement year from this University, I will return back to my
home country Nepal. As I would achieve an international graduation certificate I am sure I will
make my family and myself proud and do something worthwhile in my home country. I believe
that knowledge is infinite. My aspiration to serve more to my nation with all the deftness is why I
choose this institution as my craft. My career goal is to secure a position in a good institution that
will allow me to utilize my knowledge and abilities, for the growth and development of the
organization. So, I am fully confident that I will get a complete job in Nepal after getting a British
Degree.
After returning back to Nepal, I wish to work for the NGOs like Rural Development and
Empowerment Centre, the Community and Rural Development Society of Nepal, FORWARD
Nepal and so on. I plan to apply to work as a senior project officer. As a senior project officer, I
will be responsible for field assessment and interaction with stakeholders & local government,
developing a business model, analyzing policy documents, strategies and programs, and relevant
data and information. The modules will provide me with learnings about the management of the
business side of an organization and the implementation of new technologies, project management,
financing, marketing, and project coordination. Furthermore, providing guidance, and leadership
to other team members and supervising a team to upgrade an organization. As an organization
manager would be in an influential position to contribute towards making improvements in the
organization and effective policies leading to the uplifting of the overall develop organization
projects in Nepal. The MBA courses will develop my knowledge with respect to critical thinking
skills required for the management of an organization. I plan to establish my career in that
organization and serve my country as a renowned manager of the organization.
