A Flower That Never Bloomed

A Flower That Never Bloomed
Ah, flower so fair, with petals pure and sweet,
Why dost thou remain a bud, and never bloom?
Thy beauty locked away, concealed from view,
A potential never realized, a promise left unfulfilled.
Could it be thy soil is lacking, thy sun not strong enough?
Or is it some internal strife, that holds thee back from thy true form?
For surely, if thou couldst bloom, thou wouldst be a sight to behold,
A radiant beacon of light, in this dark and dreary world.
But alas, it seems thy fate is not to bloom,
To be admired and cherished by all.
Instead, thou art doomed to wilt and fade,
A forgotten flower, hidden in the shadows.
And yet, even in thy state of decay, thou art not without beauty.
For in thy wilted petals, thy faded colors, there is a certain grace,
A reminder that all things must pass, and that even the loveliest of things,
Cannot escape the clutches of time.
So, flower never bloomed, I bid thee farewell,
And though thou wilt be gone, thou shalt not be forgotten,
For in thy short existence, thou hast taught us a lesson,
That true beauty comes not from perfection, but from the struggle to bloom.
