Examples are: silly, yellow, some, two, an, the, those, rectangular, Nigerian, British, large, hot. ADJECTIVES Adjectives have three degrees of comparisons, they are: positive, comparative and superlative. • Positive: to describe one thing, e.g. happy • Comparative : to compare two things; it is usually followed by ‘than’, e.g. happier than • Superlative: to compare three or more things, e.g. happiest POSITIVE COMPARATIVE SUPERLATIVE Hot Hotter Hottest Difficult More difficult Most difficult Little Less Least Much More Most Good Better Best Bad Worse Worst SENTENCE EXAMPLES 1.
