Date: March 15, 2022 Online Platform: Facebook Messenger Target Participants: Grace Anne Chavez Expected Participants: 35 participants Actual Number of Participants: 1 Participant only Meeting Facilitator: Coleen L. Policarpio Narrative: A drop-out is defined as a pupil/student who has stopped attending school before completing the prescribed level of education within the specified school year. In this time of pandemic, our school offers a modular distance learning. During the enrollment the parents who enrolled their children agree on the rules and policy of modular print learning modality. But in the recent case of JOYLYN C. RAET, starting third quarter of the school year, she stopped passing answered modules. I reach out for the parents’ multiple times through text messaging and also messenger. After few days of reaching out, Ms. Grace Anne Chavez, the mother of Joylyn, responded. She says that she will stop Joylyn to study, and she will enroll her again next school year. Due to following reasons: 1. Both parents are employed, and no one will guide Joylyn to her modules. 2. They only leaving and please Joylyn to their Neighbor. 3. They do not have smart phone to reach out because they mortgage it in the pawnshop to buy their food and pay bills. The mother also added that she only borrowed the cell phone to contact me. 4. They will moving in Ilo Ilo City at the end of March 2021. I did my best to explain further to the parent the consequences of her child in dropping out.
