Gaea:
Greek deity: Mother Earth
Prometheus: In Greek mythology, he stole fire from Mount Olympus. A champion
of men against the gods, he tricked Zeus into choosing fat and
bone as the gods’ portion of sacrifices, leaving the flesh for
humans. Angrily, Zeus withheld fire from people, but Prometheus
stole it. As punishment, Prometheus was chained to a rock, where
an eagle tore out his liver by day, and it grew again by night. He
was eventually rescued.
