High Clouds
Cirrus
Thin clouds high in the atmosphere that were blown into
strands by winds. Means a change in weather
Cirrostratus
Thin clouds that cover most the sky. Means rain or snow soon
Cirrocumolus
Thin sheet like clouds that sometimes look patchy or grainy.Means
good but cold weather and might mean a hurricane in tropical
regions.
Altocumulos
Mid Clouds
Patchy white or gray and made of many fluffy rows. Made of liquid
water but doesn't produce much rain. Means good weather.
Altocstratus
Blue or gray clouds that covers most of the sky. Means continous
rain or snow
Nimbostratus
Very thick dark gray clouds. Means continouus rain snow
Low clouds
Cumulus Fluffy and white and comes in many different shapes.
Means good weather.
StratusThin and white clouds that cover the whole sky. Means good
but gloomy weather.
Cumulonimbus Forms when it is hot and wet. Usually means bad
weather and maybe even tornados.
Stratocumulus White or grey and sometimes in a honeycomb-like
design. Means good weather but maybe a storm
soon.
