• Research Demographic
• Asiamah and Mensah (2017) described research population/demography as a
group of individuals having one or more characteristics of interest whose
research findings are attributed to the population either by linking them to
specific or all the participants.
• The research population comprised of senior, middle and lower management
members of staff as well as a few senior citizens around the mine area. See
Table below for a detailed distribution of the population.

Senior Managers’ Perspective
• 60% believed Munali Nickel Mine was deteriorated and it’s largely due to
current management being a replacement of the redundant team.
Middle Managers’ Perspective
• Lack of long-term plans as indicated by short term inventory cover. Also lack
of investment in the human resource.
• Figure 3. above shows the research process of collecting data that used
three methods down to a point of data analysis
Junior Managers’ Perspective
• High staff turnover rates due to unhappy employees
I extend my sincere gratitude to the following people for their relentless energy
to ensuring that I succeeded in delivering my research project.
• Dr. Rob Shah, my Thesis teacher
• Eduardo Shavez, my student advisor
• Dr. Nicholas Odongo, my Research Methods teacher
To my wife, Mukuka Mutale and son Theodore Bupe Mutale, thank you for
sacrificing the time I was supposed to spend with you. This qualification is yours
