APULI, Quinnie M. BSA-2A Contemporary World 1. My favorite country so far is Japan. 2. A nation state is a particular form of state where mainly one nation lives. It exists to provide sovereign territory in which the state is a political, government, and ethnic or cultural entity. Despite the fact that Japan contains in its boundary minorities of different races such as Koreans and Chinese, it is still traditionally a suitable example of a nation-state. Japan is known to be a sovereign territory with unvaried cultural recognition and specification. 3. If I will be given an opportunity to rule Japan, I’ll be adopting liberalism’s principles. Japan, as one of the nations within the boundary of Asia possesses economic growth compared to its neighbors. I think, this success is indebted to the kind of government Japan has which is Liberal democracy. This form of governance has political ideologies that represent democracy and works under liberalism’s principle. If I will be leading Japan, I will be consistent with their ruling form by integrating liberalism. This form of government aims to achieve equality in terms of human rights, civil rights, political rights, and fair justice among its citizens. Moreover, it has separation of powers among the different branches of the government and applies rule of law as basis in living their everyday life. 4. If a country adopts liberalism, economic growth and individual prosperity may pave way. As a leader, it is my obligation to assure my citizens about the importance and benefits of this type of government onto their life as individuals and the society as a whole. Liberalism is one of the keys in having a balanced ruling government where it aims to establish individual freedom as central dilemma of politics. Accordingly, principles of liberals include the importance of the government’s part in protecting people’s right as part of the society and of their property, individual liberty, and equal opportunity in living life freely. Liberalism also promotes solving disputes within and outside a country through compromise and just agreements.
