Speech topic: Next apocalypse: Pandemic
Purpose of the speech: to deliver an idea that most dangerous and possible disaster that can end the
history of humanity is not natural cataclysm or nuclear war neither alien invasion, but pandemic like
coronavirus.
Reasons: coronavirus has been threatening world from its first day of appearance. This is the first
pandemic since 1918 influenza (Spanish flu) that shortened population by 50 million. Society
jumped to 2020 too fast, but unprepared for new decade’s upcoming problems. This problem is
about all people as well as connected to our students.
My creative way of speech delivery: have not decided yet. Probably regular recorded and edited
speech.

with this problem, what kind of social and economic issues it caused and so on. Frankly,
none of countries was ready to face such a disaster. What does it mean?
