Activity : Walking in Someone Else’s Shoes
Instructions:
1. Read the quote by Atticus Finch.
“You never really understand a person until you consider
things from his point of view . . . until you climb into his
skin and walk around in it.” Atticus Finch from To Kill a
Mockingbird by Harper Lee
2. Answer the following questions:
Why does Atticus tell his children to walk in
someone else’s shoes? What lesson does he want
them to learn?
3. Answer the questions listed in the activity sheet
“Walking in Someone else’s shoes”
4. Choose an image of a pair of shoes from Google
images. Print it out and glue it to your final paper.
5. Be ready to discuss the exercise and hand in the
work on Monday, February 24th during class.
