The Trump administration is expected to issue a proposal in coming weeks that would make it harder for legal immigrants to become citizens or get green
cards if they have ever used a range of popular public welfare programs. The move, which would not need congressional approval, is part of White House
senior adviser Stephen Miller's plan to limit the number of migrants who obtain legal status in the U.S. each year. Based on a recent draft seen last week and
described to NBC News, immigrants living legally in the U.S. who have ever used or whose household members have ever used Obamacare, children's health
insurance, food stamps and other benefits could be hindered from obtaining legal status in the U.S. Essentially, trump is trying to stop immigrants from being

The main point that the article is trying to make is that the Trump administration is making the biggest change to the legal immigration system in decades, and

The structure of this article is almost exactly like an informative essay, it The main rhetorical devices that the author uses are rhetorical appeals, mostly
starts with an introduction paragraph, which explains what the Trump
ethos and logos. The author establishes ethos by citing various statistics, and

quotes, from very credible sources, and then explaining how they help improve the
main idea throughout the article. This structure works very well for the argument, and these statistics perfectly back up what the author is saying. The fact

I choose this piece because it was the required topic, immigration, and I thought this article provided some very interesting information on the topic. I enjoyed
this piece because I felt that it truly wanted to explain what was going on in our country, and I felt like the author was truly trying to inform people about how
our immigration laws and policies are changing. Also, this is a topic that is interesting to me because it is something that I hear about almost everyday, people
are always talking about the government and what is going on in our country, so it was interesting for me to read about this topic. The author makes a
valuable contribution to the topic because they provide very current information about the topic, and add inform people of this new information.
