Chapter 3: My Origin, Culture and/or Religion
Personal Interview/Narrative
Where did your family come from? What culture(s) do you associate with? How is your culture
expressed? What role does religion play for your family?
Directions: You are to research your family, culture, and/or religion by interviewing a family
member. This interview will be used as research for a narrative that you will write about
yourself.
Narrative: a story or account of events, experiences, or the like, whether true or
fictitious.
Chapter 3 must include:
-Interview questions, 7 questions minimum
(Yes or no questions are not acceptable)
-Interview answers
-Copy of research article
-Research from at least one source about anything discussed in your interview
- MLA formatted citations/work cited
-Narrative -125 words: This should tell your story about your origin, culture and/or
religion.
-Five facts from the interview
-One fact from your research
-Written in first person
-Works cited, citations in MLA format
