Phenomenon:

• best explains the suffering misunderstood and ridiculed Jesus.

• After George has this experience of light he is struggling to figure out what is happening to him as he truly discovers his identity, mission, purpose in life.

• On this journey, he wants to share his ideas and help as many people as possible.

• However, the members of his own hometown are afraid of George and have made their own conclusions about him and cannot listen to his truth. (MARK: IRONIC TWIST and MESSIANIC SECRET)

• The FBI agents want to silence George because they are threatened by his special abilities.

• After his death the people come to an understanding and appreciate and treasure his memory as his spirit lives on in them.

• Dr. Ringold: insists on being called Doctor; does not want to listen to George until after he sees George’s special abilities

• FBI agents: threatened by George’s knowledge; filled will fear, they want to silence him

• Dr. Wellen: just wants George’s brain; has no interest in the person, or life

• “you are not a scholar”
